Buyer Protection Policy

Doro — Fresh Meat Group Buying Platform

1. Purpose of This Policy

This Buyer Protection Policy (“Policy”) outlines the safeguards, procedures, and commitments implemented by Doro Technology Solutions Ltd (“the Company”), operating the Doro platform (“the Platform”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), to protect buyers participating in group purchases of foodstuff items, livestock, and related agricultural products through doro.africa.

Our objective is to ensure transparency, fairness, quality assurance, and risk mitigation across all group buying transactions conducted on the Platform.

2. Product Vetting & Approval

All products listed on the Platform undergo internal vetting prior to approval. This process includes, but is not limited to:

  • Verification of product type (e.g., livestock, meat, produce).
  • Confirmation of estimated weight, quantity, or portion structure.
  • Assessment of storage, handling, and distribution feasibility.
  • Evaluation of suitability for fair group sharing.

Products that are misleading, unverifiable, or unsuitable for fair distribution are not approved for listing on Doro.

3. Vendor Vetting & Accountability

All vendors are vetted before being permitted to list products on the Platform. Vetting may include identity verification, business review, supply capacity assessment, and compliance with applicable foodstuff safety and livestock handling standards.

Vendors are accountable for delivering products that strictly conform to the approved listing. Vendors who breach Platform standards may be suspended or permanently removed.

4. Deal Completion, Deadlines & Payment Protection

Each group buying deal is subject to a clearly stated payment deadline.

  • Where a deal fails to reach full payment by the deadline, the deal is automatically cancelled.
  • Buyers will be refunded all amounts paid, excluding non-refundable platform or processing fees, where applicable.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 3 business days.

5. Quality Verification Prior to Sharing

For fresh meat deals, no sharing or distribution will commence until the product has been verified by the Doro's team.

Verification may include physical inspection, freshness checks, condition assessment, and confirmation that the product matches the description stated in the deal listing.

Where a product fails to meet agreed quality or safety standards, the deal is cancelled and buyers are refunded in accordance with this Policy.

6. Fair Share & Portioning Guarantee

The Platform guarantees equal and fair sharing for all buyers based on the deal's defined split structure.

  • Portions are calculated strictly by slots purchased.
  • No buyer receives more or less than their entitled share.
  • Portioning methods are appropriate to the product type, including weight-based, count-based, or predefined portions.

7. Supervised Sharing & Distribution

All sharing and distribution processes are supervised by the Doro's team or appointed agents to ensure accuracy, hygiene, and fairness.

Where third-party logistics or processing providers are involved, reasonable care is taken to ensure compliance with Doro's standards.

8. Deal Cancellation for Quality or Compliance Issues

The Platform reserves the right to cancel any deal, including fully funded deals, where:

  • The product does not meet stated quality or safety standards.
  • There is evidence of misrepresentation by a vendor.
  • The product is deemed unsafe, unfit, or unsuitable for sharing.

In such cases, buyers will be refunded in accordance with Doro's Terms of service.

9. Limitation of Liability

Buyers acknowledge that agricultural and foodstuff products may be subject to natural variations. To the extent permitted by law:

  • The Platform is not liable for minor, non-material variations that do not affect fairness or usability.
  • Liability is limited to the buyer's contribution excluding platform fees, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
