Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Answers to common questions about buying, selling, payments, and sharing on Doro.

For Buyers

  • What is a Slot?

A slot represents a portion of a deal to be shared. For example, if a deal has 10 slots, the item will be divided into 10 equal portions. Each buyer purchases one or more slots and receives their fair share.

  • Why are some slots locked?

When a buyer initiates payment for a slot, that slot is temporarily locked for up to 5 minutes. This prevents multiple buyers from paying for the same slot. If payment is not completed within that time, the slot becomes available again.

  • Who handles the sharing?

The Doro team oversees the entire sharing and distribution process. We work closely with the vendor, cutters, and other partners to ensure fairness and transparency.

  • Do I need to be present during sharing?

We strongly recommend being present during sharing. If you are unavailable and prefer home delivery, let us know and we’ll help arrange it. Delivery fees may apply.

  • What happens if the item isn’t fully sold before the deadline?

Each deal has a payment deadline. If all slots are not filled by that time, the deal will be cancelled and buyers will be refunded. Platform fees are non-refundable.

  • What is a Platform Fee?

The platform fee is a small service charge that helps us operate the platform, provide inspections, supervise sharing, and offer customer support. Platform fees are non-refundable.

  • Why do some charges say “Paid by Vendor”?

This means the vendor has chosen to cover certain costs instead of passing them on to buyers. Buyers are not responsible for those charges.

  • What happens on-site during sharing?

On the day of sharing, the Doro team verifies the product quality, confirms the location is clean and accessible, supervises cutting and portioning, and ensures fair distribution to all buyers.

For Vendors

  • When do vendors get paid?

Vendors are paid once the Doro team verifies on-site that the listed item meets the agreed quality and standards. Payment is made before sharing begins.

  • What happens if my product does not meet Doro’s standards?

If a product is found to be substandard, misrepresented, or fraudulent, the deal will be cancelled and buyers refunded. The vendor will not be paid for that deal.

  • Who arranges cutters and logistics?

Vendors are responsible for arranging cutters, cleaners, and other logistics required for inspection and sharing. Doro works with vendors to coordinate the process.

  • Can Doro reject a listing?

Yes. Doro reserves the right to reject, suspend, or remove any listing that does not meet platform quality, safety, or transparency standards.
